The Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme is an exciting idea that sets out to rebuild or remodel every secondary school in England.
There are 3,500 schools across the country which will be involved in BSF which is the largest, most ambitious scheme of its kind anywhere in the world.
The project aims to involve young people and the community in all aspects of the process making sure the future schools are responding to the needs of 21st Century Learners.
The programme in Telford and Wrekin will create Sports and Learning Communities. Sports and Learning Communities will bring together schools, children's centres, health, sports, arts and leisure facilities, all on the same site for the benefit of the whole community.
Sports & Learning Communities Will:
- Be open for longer and offer adults as well as children and young people facilities in the evenings, at weekends and in school holidays
- Help pupils to study a wider range of subjects
- Use of latest high tech gadgets through ICT so that you can learn anywhere, anytime.
- Encourage you to continue learning and find out what is on offer in Telford and Wrekin for them.
For more information on the BSF programme in Telford please refer to the downloadable map below that details the schools that are included in this regeneration project.
