Telford and Wrekin council are working other local authorities and the European Social Fund to provide free specialised training in Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies.
If you are a small business thinking about opportunities in Renewable Energy installation then there are a limited number of free places on training courses. This training is provided by Dudley College in the Energy Training Hub through the Skills for Climate Change programme. The free training is available for SMEs within the participating local authority areas of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Telford & Wrekin, Warwickshire, Coventry and Worcestershire.
The training has been tailored to support the take up and attainment of the Micro-generation Certification (MCS) Scheme, enabling local businesses to benefit from the growing renewable energy market.
The courses are available in:
• Solar thermal hot water
• Solar photovoltaic
• Combined heat and power
• Heat pumps
• Biomass
