Main Company Activity:
Centre supporting construction sector in WM region
Member Description:
The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) is one of several Regional Centres in the UK that drive Best Practice in construction by providing ways for businesses, clients and society to learn, share and improve their construction knowledge and practices through information sharing and industry support.
WMCCE was set up with support from Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund, to improve the capabilities and competitiveness of the West Midlands construction industry. The Centre is supported by the University of Wolverhampton.
Our key areas of activity are around:
Improvement and Support,
Sustainability,
Skills and
Knowledge Exchange.
WMCCE is the home of the West Midlands Demonstration Programme. The programme provides the opportunity for organisations, from every part of construction, to bring forward exemplar projects that demonstrate innovation and change, which can be measured, evaluated and shared.
As well as the 6 Constructing Excellence Clubs in the region, WMCCE have established the West Midlands Sustainable Built Environment Forum which engages practitioners from public and private sectors, academics and policy makers to focus on key issues arising from climate change.
