Member Description:
Richard qualified as an Architect in Edinburgh in the 1960`s, having completed a final year thesis in Conservation. He worked for some time in Scotland on Scottish Castles, stately homes and offices for stockbrokers working in Georgian Edinburgh. From there he moved to Cambridge where he worked on a multi-client building containing a supermarket, their hostal for training new recruits, general shopping, 2 levels of car parking and finally 3 levels of Local Authority housing. From there he moved to the more rural environment of Shropshire, joining the Sandford Goatley practice and then, when Mike Sandford and 4 others disappeared at sea, set up in practice on his own account. It was a General Practice from the start, later joining up with Stanley Catterall and David Morris. At the Wem end we have dealt with nearly 1100 projects over the years from 1980. Now settled in the offices of Bleazard and Galletta he continues to provide a service to his many clients with up-to-date backup.
