The next Constructing Excellence Breakfast meeting will take place on Tuesday 25th October '11 from 7.45am and will finish no later than 10.15am at:

As part of the ongoing series of SCE events we are have arranged for 3 guest speakers to deliver presentations to members, there will also be plenty of time to network and develop local business contacts from the construction industry.
Presentation 1 Dr Alan Herbert, Director, Esi Ltd
Title Ground Source Energy Systems
Dr Alan Herbert is a hydrogeologist with over 25 years experience of groundwater resource assessment, contaminant transport and heat transfer modelling. In his early career he specialised in heat transport in fractured rocks for geothermal energy and for the disposal of heat generating nuclear waste. He is now applying this experience to develop schemes for the sustainable exploitation of ground source energy, and will be delivering an informative presentation to SCE Members on the application and benefits of ground source energy systems
Presentation 2 Ant Wilson, Business Unit Director, Aecom
Title Low Carbon / Energy Design
Ant Wilson has worked with AECOM to promote Low Carbon / Energy buildings. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, CIBSE and SFE and has been recognised as one of the most influential people in Building Services in the UK. Ant's presentation will look at Low Carbon / Energy design against Government policies with Building Regulations and Planning Policy.
Presentation 3 Carl Huntley, SCE Chairman
Title Zero Carbon 2-16 Development at Greenfields - Update
The Zero Carbon housing project has now advanced to a stage where it is ready for an outline town planning submission. Carl will be discussing the parameters that will be set by the outline application and provide an update on this exciting scheme.
